I had been told since I was 23 that I would have trouble conceiving and, if I did, I’d miscarry or be on hospital bed rest for the majority of the pregnancy after a cervical cancer diagnosis. By 27, I had three additional diagnoses (Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, type two diabetes, and Ulcerative Colitis), several surgeries, and was taking a large number of prescription medications.
